In 1984, there was a shortage of Methyldopa in India. Though Dr. Reddy’s was a company with just 20 employees then, we stepped in with our first API, a critical cardiovascular drug, to make sure cardiac patients did not have to suffer.

Today, we are an integrated global pharmaceutical company operating through three core segments; Pharmaceutical Services and Active Ingredients (PSAI), Global Generics (GG) and Proprietary Products.

We started in a small town in India with just 20 people and a vision. But even then we knew that to achieve our goal we needed people from all over the globe to work together for the common good. Today, we have research & development centres, manufacturing facilities or a commercial presence in over 42 countries. Our colleagues across the world work towards one mission: to develop, manufacture and distribute innovative and affordable healthcare solutions.

The Dr. Reddy’s Foundation (DRF), a non-profit partner of Dr. Reddy’s, is built around the belief that people are driven to improve their lives and create a better future for their children. All they need are the right circumstances and enough encouragement.

The Foundation takes an active interest in improving the lives of the urban poor and marginalised communities. To this end, it conducts programmes and workshops that improve their education levels and employability.
