Satish is the Chairman of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. He joined the company in 1993 and over the years, has led its transition from an API manufacturer to a vertically integrated generics player. He also oversaw Dr. Reddy’s expansion in Russia, China and other emerging markets.

Satish consistently lends his expertise and knowledge to several industry associations and government panels. He is the President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, Chairman of the Life Sciences Skill Development Council, and Telangana Life Sciences Advisory Committee, and Chairman of the Board for the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Hyderabad. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of IIM Visakhapatnam. In these capacities, Satish has played a key role in shaping major policies impacting the pharma industry such as drug pricing, patent laws and amendments to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

In keeping with the legacy of Dr K Anji Reddy, founder of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Satish drives the organisation’s CSR initiatives. He is passionate about enabling access to affordable healthcare, building sustainable livelihoods and agricultural practices, protecting child rights and ensuring education for all.

Satish was Young Global Leader for 2007 at the World Economic Forum. He was also the recipient of the IBLA - India Corporate Citizen of the Year award by CNBC in 2005.

Satish has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, and a Masters in Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University, Indiana, US, where he received the 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
